CREATION OF THE COMMONWEALTH
In 1884,
during his visit to Australia, Lord Rosebery described the change of the
British Empire, as some of its colonies became more independent, as a
“Community of Nations”.
The
Commonwealth was developed from the Imperial Conferences. The organization has
its origins in the Imperial Conferences of 1920, when the British government
recognized certain rights of self-determination of its colonies.
The
Commonwealth was developed from the Imperial Conferences. A concrete proposal
was put forward by Jan Smuts in 1917 when he coined the term “Commonwealth of
Nations”.
BREXIT
The departure of the United Kingdom
from the European Union, commonly abbreviated as brexit, acronym for the
English words Britain and exit, “Great Britain” and “departure”, is a political
global pursed by certain political parties, groups Civilians and people of the
United Kingdom, who seek their country to leave the European Union.
A referendum on membership took
place in 2016, which took place on Thursday, June 23, and gave a favorable
result to the European Union’s exit with almost 52% of the votes, compared with
48% who advocated permanence.
